I've been lucky enough to photograph this family several summers in a row now. Most recently, they had a brand new addition for me to meet. One obstacle we ran into for this Highland Lake extended family session was the timing. Toddlers and babies are usually their best in the mornings, but in July, the morning golden hour is around 6 am. We took a risk and shot around 9 am and it worked out beautifully. This family's house sits on Lake Devonge and they have a view of the sunrise, so we still got some of that lovely rim lighting and everybody was happy!
