Motherhood Session on the Delaware River

Living in the mountains, you become distrustful of the weatherman. This session had already been rescheduled once and when the forecast was calling for severe thunderstorms, I upgraded to the paid weather app to get 15 minute increments in my forecast. Mom was already at the studio getting hair and makeup done by Amy, while Dad occupied the kids by exploring Jeffersonville's Main Street. The weather was torrential, thunder, lightning, pouring buckets of rain. We could barely stop ourselves from reloading the weather apps on our phones. It promised that by 5:15 the storm would end in Narrowsburg. So we rearranged our plans and decided to have the session on the Delaware River. Our risk paid off. The skies were full of turquoise drama with a mist on the river I've only seen early in the morning. And the rain had cooled down what had been a significant heat wave here in the Catskills. Mom wore a daring maxi from Vici Dolls that she chose from my wishlist and it suited her perfectly.
