Emery's Fresh 48

A quick word about this amazing photographer who I've come to call my friend.

Amanda and I met about a year and a half ago and we instantly clicked. We had so many funny little things in common, aside from both of us being family photographers.

The funny thing is, despite the fact that we should have been each other's competition, it's never been like that at all. We've supported each other, instead. We each have complimentary strengths that have enabled us to help one another grow.

There's an idea that resonates with the creative community especially that's called the rising tide. The concept is based more around the macroeconomics within a field being the tide, and lifting all boats, but I also feel like it applies to the general well being and growth. I firmly believe that when we in the creative field truly practice "community over competition" everybody wins.

Since combining our studios, Amanda and I have both seen growth not just in our respective businesses, but also in our capabilities as photographers.

I will always be thankful that our paths crossed and I have such a kind, funny, insightful and thoughtful partner to share my studio with.

So thank you for that, Amanda, and thank you for insisting I photograph Emery's Fresh 48. You and Mike are such wonderful parents, and have created the most loving home for your little boy, this sweet little girl couldn't be any luckier. Congratulations! Let the fun begin ;-)

Hey I'm Jill!

I've been photographing New York families for over ten years now, and I can honestly say I love my job!

I prioritize creating honest photos of families being them. My number one goal is to create a visual time capsule for you.

The photos we create together are for you, but they're also for the people that love you. These images will serve as bits of proof that you were here, you loved, and people loved you back.

My Mission

To create honest photographs that feel nostalgic and true.

To collaborate with families rather than reshape them.

To celebrate and represent people of every race, ethnicity, body type, ability, religion, gender identity, sexual orientation, and family structure.

All humans are welcome here.
